Countdown to V-Day

Tomorrow is Veronica's 6th birthday. We're having a cook-out for both her and Violet (who will turn 1 next Wednesday). Needless to say, Veronica is very excited. Tonight I asked her what she wanted for her birthday (hoping she would say something I had already gotten her!) and she said if she told me what she wanted it wouldn't be a surprise! Because that's what she really wants--something she's not expecting. Harrison is also full of surprises. Today he was playing with an abacus and asked me what he was supposed to do with it. I said it's used for counting. So he said, "Okay, I can count! 1, 2, 3, 8, W, R, P, 11, N!" Not to be outdone, Violet has started climbing up the slide on Veronica/Harrison's loft bed--all the way up to Veronica's bed on top. I'm keeping a VERY close eye on her! She's liable to be on the roof next.
