The Graduate

Here's a link to a video of my graduation ceremony from Auburn University Montgomery: http://graduation.aum.edu/archives-Spring-2009-2.html. I'm in the third row (seated). They do the School of Liberal Arts first (so I'm close to the beginning), but the Masters last, so I'm the second to last person to walk across the stage during the Liberal Arts section. Interesting trivia: the interim Dean of the School of Liberal Arts was the second reader on my thesis (From Les Octonaires to The Octonaries: One Pluralist's Search for Truth in Translation). Since he is a French professor, he said, "Felicitations" (Congratulations) when he shook my hand on the stage. I said, "Merci" (Thanks). After putting it in the proper format, my thesis was 165 pages long! More trivia: One of the people on stage who guides the candiates as they approach the podium is the mother of someone in Veronica's class at Halcyon. As I walked past her she said, "You're Veronica's mom! I'm Grant's mom!" You might notice her talking to me briefly in the video.
